Slime Breeder (prototype)
A downloadable game for Windows
Thanks to those absolute legends who actually downloaded the prototype and to everyone interested in my project :)
This is a prototype game!
Everything you can do and see in the game may change during development.
Below you can see devlogs about my progress.
My vision is a game similar to Harvest Moon / Stardew Valley / Slime Rancher, in which you take care of slimes. You can breed slimes with different colors based on how you treat them and what kind of environment you put them in. Maybe at some point you can also breed personalities and competitive properties for your slimes.
The software provided on this page is certainly not perfect and was made within 2 weeks as a side hobby. Not only does it include bugs, I kept a few non-breaking ones, because this is just a prototype.
Feedback
Any feedback regarding the game idea is greatly appreciated!
This prototype should help to understand what this game should "feel" like. I do understand that the collisions are annoying and the environment very limited. But on the other hand the core concept of feeding and "shaping" the slime colors remain.
Tips for the prototype
Nothing is explained (partially to see if it is frustrating or intuitive to use things in the game) and therefore I think I should explain some important aspects of the game here:
* W/A/S/D - movement
* Space - Interactions (take stuff drop stuff sell slimes etc.)
* Slimes breed between days by chance

Install instructions
These are just compiled unsigned binaries. What does that mean?
The exe files will be marked by windows as a risk!
If you want to be safe (and you should, generally speaking) start the application in a container environment.
Unfortunately, I don't have any reputation to build upon. So all I can say and do here is literally "trust me bro" :D
